do the advance design and art deco trucks share the sames bed boxes? are they interchangable?

for the AD's, does anyone know the dimensions of the wooden blocks that go between the frame and the bed? heighth, width and depth?
im trying to find a box for my fifty and im not having any luck, but i might have a chance with a parts truck here in town thats an Art deco
any help would be appreciated. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 | Art Decco boxes are narrower. 1947(2ND) Through 1953 are the same. 1954/55 are different, side rails are flat instead of angled. I believe these beds go to 1980's. However the 47-55 beds will work if that's what you find and are not a purist. Look in the Gallery for confirmation of bed types. ..........g | | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | I've got a new set of 47-53 blocks here and they measure: - 2 inches tall (height)
- 2 1/4 inches long (side)
- 1 3/4 wide (end)
- 2 of the blocks have holes directly i through the middle.
- 2 of the blocks have the hole 3/4 of an inch over on the 2 1/4 inch side.
