Hi all, I have run into a problem with the tinting of my windows on my 47 5 window. I've had no problem tinting the windows, and rear glass in [35],(don't want to brake any laws hear in KY), but I could not do the corner glass. So,-PLAN B-, take it to the nearest tint shop. Actually I took it to 2 so called tint specialist, not sure about the specialist thing. Both informed me they tried but could not do it. Now my question>. Has anyone had a problem tinting there corner windows? I live in a small town and have no problem taking them to the big city to have it done, if it can be done. I should tell you that I'm old enough to remember the spray on tint, don't really want to do that. Any help, or advice, will be greatly appreciated.

I found that the tint had to be applied in two pieces to the corner windows of my 54-5 window. Fortunately, my step-son is a professional tint applicator.....has done some of the most complicated vehicles on the market and it took him better than an hour to get them to his satisfaction.

Basically, there is a seam, from top to bottom that is virtually invisible, splitting the window into halves. By using the 2 piece method, he was able to get it perfect. It's been on almost a year and it looks as good as the day he applied it.

I would not be a bit surprised if a tint shop would charge you for a full tint job.....their time and frustration are probably not going to be cheap! Hope this helps.

On my '54 corner windows,,the guy did them in one piece,,no wrinkles,,no bubbles,,and no "fingers" as they call em. Expensive,but worth it. This guy was a magician,,he could wrap a basketball with window film with no wrinkles.
Been 3 years now, still look good.
One thing i learned,,stay away from the cheap window tinters,like at flea markets,,mobile "at your house" companies. The cheap film turns purple in a year and looks like crap.

475wls1, I used the tint like vinyl. It comes in 5% at walmart. Its static cling vinyl and it forms to any shape,but its harder to trim because its thicker than regular window tint(Its vinyl)not plastic. Its also removable w/ no adhesive left behind.

I've been contemplating doing mine as well. I think it might be easier for me to do it with the corner glass out of the truck. That way it would be much easier to work with.
