Can someone advise me how much I'll need? It's 54" wide. | | | | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 2 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 2 | I just recovered my 52 with 4 yards from a fabric store. It really depends on how wide the Fabric runs.

Thanks,

Two yards will do it and the seat is 53" wide which leaves a half inch on each side for a seam. I had SMS send me a sample of material for my '50 which has a very pronounced grain. It matches the original material perfectly. The Spanish Grain from JC is very close but not perfect. Unfortunatly I already have a set of the Spanish Grain on the way from JC. I remeasured the length of the seat cushion, and each is 21" plus 1" for seam, that's 44". The front, back, top and bottom flaps are 9" each, times four is 36". Then the ends 9x22 four times comes out of an 18"x54 piece with two 10" strips left over for samples next time you need to get material. (44+36+18=98)/36=2.7 yds. Opps, ya beter figure on three yards of material, I must have mismeasured last time. Mind you this is for an AD. Denny Graham Sandwich, IL

Anyone use the seat cover kits from ACT? Just curious as I was going to but had mine recovered instead. | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 37 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 37 | Jus ask SMS they will tell you how much it takes Tom | | |
