Here's a question that I"m afraid that I already know the answer to. Is there a way of changing the gasket that the vent window seals against without dismantling the door and vent assembly? I don't see how you would get around the bottom pivot pin.
It's a 51 3 window.

I don't think you'll be able to do that without slitting the gasket around the lower pivot-which I wouldn't recommend. I can tell you that removing the vent window was not a big deal. However I have not yet reinstalled it.

Can be chalanging but worth it.Take vent window out.Do it properly. The friction bolt will pull gasket apart if you slit the gasket,Good luck,It's no big deal.Don't forget the bolt at the bottom of the window chanel.
