Wondering if anyone has installed a fiberglass headline, I'm leaning toward putting one in my 49, but would like to hear from someone who has any pointers or an opinion.

I installed a ABS headliner in my 39 and was happy with the results. I would think the fiberglass would be similar to istall. Since it must be trimmed, measuring and fitting is very criticle, cut a little at a time. The process will involve putting it in and out numerous times to get the correct fit. Takes two people, one to hold it up and the other to mark it ect. Most important thing is to check twice cut once.

I used Roddoors ABS in my '51, covered in tweed. You could paint or cover in your choice of fabric's. Easy install I think I only had to trim at rear to fit, and make holes for sun visors. I also glued insulation to roof. I think you can see here

What color headliner are most follks using in a 1951? I've gone with the brown version as I had brown (I think) on the doors and the dask gauges appear to be brown. I wonder if there was a standard interior color in 1951?

I recently bought a fiberglass precut headliner but I can't install it because it's too stiff. Has anyone ever actually installed one??

Bat: Not that far yet but what I have read they say lay it in the direct sun for awhile easier to work with!

I have a Roddoors headliner also, we left it black abs for a year. Little trimming and it fit fine. Have some ultra suede material to put on it now. We have our truck all torn apart and ready for paint. I like the roddoors headliner, but thought it was way over-priced.

The roddoors products are ABS.

has anybody used the roddoors back ABS cover?
I removed the gas tank and have thought about getting the ABS cover to ''don't quote me
'clean up the looks of the cab inside''.
