As is the case with my custom tail light post, this isn't a purist question. Has anyone found a suitable replacement for the stock bench seat? I'm looking for modern amenities, including comfort, power adjust, cup holders and storage. I found a website discussing the use of a 1997 Buick Park Avenue bench seat out of a 4 door that has 6-way power seats and a shoulder strap built into the backrest that looks like a great set-up. Only problems is I can't seem to locate a unit.

Take a look at Fatfenders "Toad" project. He is doing a real nice job building a custom ride. I recall he used seats out of a dodge mini-van(?)

I used seats from a dodge dakota p/u , Very comfortable if you don' mind the hi backs. Dodge dakota bench seat will also fit nicely.

What did you install the Dakota seats in? Buckets or bench?

Did you install seats with built in t seat belts?
