Restoration Specialties is an excellent company. They are quick, helpful, and friendly. If you have an example of a small/odd piece of hardware, send them the part and they will try to match it (and they will return the original part).
I am now putting together a 1954 truck and installed the windshield "trim bar" on Sunday. This is the the "trim bar" that scrwew into the dashboard near the windshield and it directs the "defroster" air towards the windshield. There were no clips - the screws (6) attached directly to holes in the dash.
Maybe I am referring to the wrong part? Can you post a picture?
The only clip I see is one on each of the two defroster "funnels" (vents/scoops?) that attach from under the dash (each with a screw on one side and a clip on the other side).
