This truck project has been discussed significantly on this forum over the last few years, but due to a job layoff, we are moving and I have to sell it. It is a bit of a Frankentruck, as it is a 1940 cab and front clip, with a '37-39 bed and rear fenders all on a '41-'46 chassis. It is titled as a 1940 Chevrolet pickup with a clear title in my name. The engine is a 1954 Chev 235 6 cylinder in very good shape. The brakes have been freshly redone. I drove it out of the garage a couple days ago under its own power. Included are many hard to find vintage parts. Not too far from being ready for the street. I have a whole lot more photos...let me know what you want to see.

Nick - So sorry to hear of the job predicament and the necessity to sell the truck.
I've followed along since the beginning and know that you've put a huge amount of hard work and effort to get the truck where it is. I think we can all say that whoever brings this truck home will have something well done to this point and very much on the way to being finished (at least as finished as we ever get our trucks - lol).
Best of luck on you sale!

Thanks Dan! I know that you have assisted and been along for the ride since the beginning. My wife was working for a high tech startup that was done wrong by one of the largest corporations in the world, so her retirement didn't turn out the way we expected...But, we are still doing okay and are pivoting to a new adventure...we are moving onto a boat. (We have lived on a boat once in the past and really enjoyed it.) I have had so much pleasure in working on the truck to this point that, although I would like to be able to finish it up, the good outweighs the bad and it has been a very positive experience. What I have learned and experienced here on the forum have been great, and the comradery I have felt as a part of this community has been outstanding! I won't be able to see the project through to completion (whatever that is), but would do it again without question.

Nick - Just remember, when you do sell your truck, even though it's not likely you'll be buying another while enjoying your "...living on a boat...", you're still a full fledged 'Bolter and hope you'll continue to hang around with us in the virtual shop. Your experience and knowledge learned can surely help a fellow 'Bolter at some point along the way and it would be great to stay in touch!
Once again - best wishes on your sale!
