Looking for a 66 era overdrive saginaw 3 speed with the 7 bolt sidecover. I would also be interested in just the borg warner OD rear section to add to a normal saginaw 3 speed. I already have the governor and solenoid. Just need a whole trans or the hard parts to convert one. Thank you.
You may want to reach out to Cosmo, he is pretty knowledgeable on these and has supplied an few in the past.

You'll have to join up to be able to contact the seller as I couldn't find any direct contact info in the ad.
Preliminary search of FB Marketplace done, but only scratched the surface on that look. Will try to see if I can locate anything else with a deeper look.
Best of luck with your search!

I got a 4 bolt side cover I just pulled that I will never use. SM-319
I have one in truck currently and a spare one for parts but im sick of the old 3 speeds popping out of 3rd. Seems like anytime i use them they are a annoying problem.
Barnfind49 - You're at full 'Bolter status so free to PM "Cosmo" or any other unmoderated 'Bolter.
Have at it sir as there's no 30 day wait period.

I meant the tri-five forum listed above not here hahaha.
Ah, the little light bulb overhead just illuminated - LOL!
The good news is there hasn't been a lot of interest in the ad thread there, so a good possibility it could still be available after the "pause".
I'm still looking and will post other leads as I can.

Barnfind49 - From 1964-66 (and perhaps later?), Chevrolet offered an optional Borg Warner T-89 "heavy duty" 3 speed with overdrive in the pickup truck line.
I came across this ad that looks like it's offering a T89B that would also fit your application if you can't find a Saginaw 3 speed OD equipped transmission. The picture shows a 1968 casting date on the unit.
At just $100 asking price, it sounds like a great deal. The ad does say "door pickup" and indicates it's in Nashville, Michigan, so maybe a long roadtrip needed to capture this one.
I'll keep looking for a Saginaw in case this won't work for you either.
