* Special Announcement *

Stovebolt would like to take this opportunity to alert our "Community" to this on-going very special charity auction event of a beautifully restored 1955 Chevrolet Cameo 3100 to benefit the Mustard Seed Ranch.

The Mustard Seed Ranch is a Christ-centered nonprofit near Cookeville, Tennessee, providing safe, loving homes for children ages 5 - 17 who need stability, care, and a place to belong. Definitely a worthy cause that the proceeds of this auction will go to in supporting the mission of the Ranch.

I've attached just these few pictures of the truck offered at auction for your viewing pleasure and interest, but highly recommend you click the auction link above and see all they have on the offered truck. The truck looks almost fresh off the showroom floor, with a clearly very high level of attention to detail spent on it's restoration.

Please note that Bidding Is Open Now (just click the link above)! - but ends Tue, Oct 27, 2026 at 10:00:00 am CT.

The Stovebolt Collective wishes the Mustard Seed Ranch the very best in finding this truck a new home and that its sale will help meet their needs/goals in supporting their mission. Perhaps there's a Stovebolter out there that could provide this truck with a new Stovebolt home?

Just a quick update today. The auction has just under 5 days to go. Current high bid is just $25,100. Just IMHO, but I think there's a lot of value here as the current price range for a similarly equipped well restored Cameo truck is in the $45,000 - $67,000 range.

I think the bidding will ramp up pretty soon. wink

Just a little more than 3 days left in the bidding. Current bid is $30,000. Definitely still a great value IMHO! thumbs_up

Well the auction has ended with a final bid of $33,500. I've updated the title as such and will leave this up for anyone that was watching can see the results.

I'll remove the ad tonight after folks have had a chance to check it out. wink

Edit Note: See following reply for new details.

A follow up update. It appears, per a little birdy news flash I received, that the Cameo is finding a new home with a Stovebolt member - Yahoo!!! yahoo

As this is a special circumstance, I'm going to leave the thread up to give him an opportunity to announce the Cameo's new home/owner before I have to delete the ad per our guidelines. I'm gonna suggest folks interested should keep eyes open for new posts in the Welcome Centre, as I think there will be something new there soon. wink

Congratulations to the new owner! I believe he got a really good deal and I hope he does reveal himself in the Welcome Forum.
