I am looking for at least 1 "Left" Intake rocker arm for a '53 216 Head #3885517. Looks like the number on the Rocker arm is 839465. Also need some push rods.
Thanks

Cletus - According to the 1929-54 Chevy Master Parts Book, the left intake rocker is listed as casting# 839465 (on the part itself), but identified as GM# 839463 by part number.
There is an NOS set of 3 rocker arms currently listed for sale on evilbay. The listing provides the right part number and pictures show the correct casting number, but the title of the ad lists them incorrectly as "Exhaust" rocker arms.
This would give you 3 new rockers for your engine, all it needs. But maybe the asking price is a bit steep? Possible there may be some 'Bolters out there that have some usable rockers for you. Will have to see who replies.
On the push rods you need, how many??? Once you let us know I can try and locate some sources and post them here for you.

Thanks Dan - good eye! I saw the listing but skipped over it when i saw exhaust valve - but you are correct that is the right Part number in the picture
Cletus - The original part number is GM# 3835776, and they are 10-7/16" long. There are a few "used" 216 push rods in various ads on evilbay (both individually and as sets of 12), but honestly I'd vote for spending equal or lesser money for some new replacements from either of these vendors:
The Filling Station AF-449 @ $7.70 each plus shipping
OR
Chev's of the 40's PN 3835776 @ $7.75 each plus shipping.
Some other vendors offer them new as well, but at substantially higher prices, like $15-$20 each. Ouch!
There is probably a fellow 'Bolter that has some stashed away, but if no one offers them up, you have these options.
Best of luck on your hunt!

Cletus, shoot a PM to Otto Skorzeny on here. I just sent him a full set of 216 rockers and shafts and he should have what you need. Tell him I sent you to him.
