Trucks at the Farm, November 7th, 2026, Columbia SC. This the 4th year of the Show, each year it continues to grow. The Show is open to all Manufacturers, so you will see every Brand of Truck. The Trucks range from Pickups to 18 Wheelers. This a great Family event. Thor and I will make the 500 mile plus round trip on this one.

I checked for a hotel room. Rates are extremely high, The Gamecocks have a homecoming game that weekend. Is camping allowed on the grounds?

Wayne, is it just you or is Nelda joining in on the fun? I don't believe they have provisions for camping. Were you planning on staying in your tent?

Camping involves just me. There is no place for Nelda to plug in her electric curlers. smile
I would most likely stay in the bed of my truck.

Apparently, I am too cheap to spend the bucks on a light-weight aluminum trailer to haul the '46. It has to weigh about 2000 lbs to keep the combined weight under 5000 lbs.

Well we are about 2 weeks away from this Show. Wayne and I along with my Son Justin are heading to Columbia Friday the 6th. We are going to stay the night with a friend and Convoy to the Show in the morning.

Wayne is going to trailer "Little Blue" with Goldie, to my place in Brunswick and we will head out from there. Justin and I will be driving Thor. We will meet PaPa Joe and his Grandson Eli at the Show.

Archie -- When I retired, I treated myself (well ... Peggy said "yes") to a Sure-trac 20-ft aluminum trailer. Its empty curbweight is 1,280 lbs with a rated payload capacity of 5,700 lbs. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? YES! My poor ole E-350 with the 5.4L V-8 struggled with the steel car hauler I had before. Now I can easily haul the '49 1-ton around.

The only "issue" with an aluminum trailer I've found so far is that it is noisy. You never have to wonder if its still back there -- it will continuously remind you. Its annoying until you get used to it.

Slight chance I may be there. I need to go to Atlanta this fall and may be able to include a side trip over to Columbia?
Probably not bringing a truck, but it could happen?
