Received my new bumper guards today. Checking if the rain holes belong inside the vertical pieces or is it owners choice?

They said nos. But I’m not sure. I agree it does look nice. Fits perfectly. Said the brand was Erie but nothing on the box

Looks good, I have been looking and considering getting one myself. I was watching one on eBay up until recently, Is there a chance this might have been it? I think the one I was watching was in Galena, Illinois. I was concerned about fitment. Glad it fits. Nice purchase!

Yes this is the one from Galena ill. I had asked him about measurements but my wife thought I had better just buy it and take the chance. Fits perfect, just loosely on until I I decide the width. Maybe I’ll also put a little something between it and the bumper.

Your truck looks nice, and the guard looks nice on it. From some pictures I’ve seen the verticals have been closer together. Is there a chance the drain holes can be positioned inside the vertical pieces? I’m considering a more expensive option at twice the money but not sure if I can justify the cost. This is a pic of my front end I’m trying to spice up. I enter and won in the stock category at this show 2 years in a row. I am not sure if I would get dinged points for having a guard on it. I’m hoping my crank and its support can still be used with a guard.

Do you get dinged for the non-factory whitewalls? If not, I doubt they'll ding you for a non-factory bumper guard.

Good point, for this show I do take off my front license plate and bracket and my running board step plates. I do have an opportunity to talk to one of the four judges from that show. I’ll have to ask.

Looking at guards for sale on eBay I found one that has same clips I have and how the bolts that hold the horizontal pieces should go. It also looks like on most them on eBay the drain holes are between the vertical pieces. I will disassemble mine and take some pictures of how I put it together. I will then be able to see if drain holes can be inside vertical pieces also. I think I would like to hide them inside but the the vertical pieces may be too close. We are going to be out of town over the weekend so may not happen till next week.

Nice looking truck. I’m not sure about shows. Just adding what I like cause I just plan on driving mine. I do occasionally go to a local show but for fun.

Update:

After filing out inside bar holder, I was able to get bars in a little further so they would stick out about 2 inches. Turned out nice. The drain holes are just inside the verticals brackets so water would drain inside bumper. One question I had was if anyone recommends some inner tube between the bumper and guard bracket?
