Yeah, you should try getting stuff to Alaska.
I ordered some tires ~$500 cost from an outfit in PA and they offered free shipping, but when they went into the shopping cart and I put in my address, they came up with $3000 to ship them to me in Alaska.

I called and asked them what it REALLY cost to ship and they said $600 a tire and wouldn't back down from that. I told them I could fly down and pick them up and bring them home as baggage for that price.

That's when I had them shipped for free to Span Alaska in WA, and they brought them here for $185 picked up at their Anchorage terminal. We get a lot of "OH we can only ship to Alaska by air"
