Yesterday, My wife and I had the honor to be part of a Veteran's escort for 2 servicemen that have no immediate family. One was a member of the Army and the other a member of the Navy. There were over 40 motorcycles and 20 cars in attendance. The ceremonies were conducted by both branches of the military. We drove from a local town to Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida, about 60 miles away.
We became their family so no serviceman rides their last ride alone.

Wayne, It's an Honor to be able to say "Goodbye" with Dignity and Respect. There are Veterans laid to rest every day that have no one there to share their journey. It means so much. Thank you and Nelda for your Support and Patriotism.

Wayne, I've been a member of the Patriot Guard Riders for about 17 years. We ride those "no family" escorts pretty frequently, especially for a funeral home in Chattanooga Tennessee that provides "no cost" services for unclaimed veterans. I was headed for a WWII vet's escort in Cleveland Tennessee 14 years ago when a blown out rear tire took me off the road for nearly a year- - - - -Getting dragged along under a Gold Wing at 65 MPH is no fun at all!
