I am considering have my original rims pinstriped like what I think would have been factory. I have seen a pic before but cannot find it again. Can anyone share a color pic of a properly pinstriped rim? Here is mine currently with a beauty ring that I still want to use. I am not sure, would the double stripes close to the hubcap clutter the look.

Here are some pics of an original wheel with pinstripes.

Thank you for the pics, and especially the dimensions. I’m guessing the stripes should be the same color as the beltline color would be Argent silver? I don’t have the belt line painted on my truck. I will have to contact my pinstripe artist to see if that’s something he wants to do.
The wheels would have been body color. The stripes would have been black on light colored wheels and cream on dark colored wheels in '46. AD trucks used Waldorf white or cream depending on the color of the wheel.

Here's snapshots of the original paint details for '46 trucks from the Chevrolet 1946 Truck Data PDF, as well as the wheel specs and drawing of the wheel appearance.
The 1941 Chevrolet Dealer Truck Pamphlet doesn't show any "pinstripes" on the wheels, but absolutely nothing wrong with adding them if that's the appearance you're going for.

Like Dan found, the 41 truck Vehicle Info Kit shows no pinstriping on the wheels. The pictures I posted were from a 4.5" wide wheel which would be used on a '50 or later AD series truck.
But you're free to use whatever pinstripe pattern you like.
On the AD trucks (1951 example shown) there were actually 7 different striping colors, depending on the body color.

Thanks for the info and responses. I did a large show last weekend and was noticed by a representative of the Des Moines Concours d’elegance show. He liked the truck and asked, me to apply for the show.( he said he would accept me.) Last year I was in it for a truck category which they do not have this year. But he said I would fit in the atomic age category and there were no trucks yet in that category. (post war 1946 through 1957. I know I’m not stock completely with having the beauty rings on it. But thought I would possibly add another touch of character with the pinstripe rings. i’m not sure I would care for the cream color, but what do you think if it was the bright red like on the hubcap? Or should I just leave well enough alone? it is French judging rules (as it would come from the factory.) this was a pic from last years show.
