I've been watching some World Cup soccer and the fans that have traveled here were stunned about America. They said media in their home countries have told them about the doom and gloom in America and they are finding out nothing could have been further from the truth. They cannot believe what a wonderful country we live in and how lucky they were to find out the truth. Me too! Happy Birthday, America!

Local chat groups are whining about all the fireworks going off. My reply was the “Bigger the Better”. I don’t buy or lite them off anymore, but do enjoy those that do the weeks before and after the 4th.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!

With the 250th Anniversary of our Great Country this coming weekend, I'm just wondering what everyone's plans are to Celebrate.
Here in Brunswick we have a great Fireworks display at our waterfront. I'm planning on taking the Grandkids along and stake out a good location to watch the festivities. I was thinking about taking Thor and setting chairs up on the bed..
Any special plans?

Craig, that's a great idea. I can do the same with my '38. Sanford has a fireworks display on the lakefront downtown.

I'm registered for the Scottsboro 4th of July Parade. So far, I seem to be the only antique vehicle in the parade ... Hmmmmm.
I'll be carrying extra jugs of coolant ...
None the less, I will be proud and happy to celebrate the 250th birthday of the greatest Nation God ever blessed.
