I've been watching some World Cup soccer and the fans that have traveled here were stunned about America. They said media in their home countries have told them about the doom and gloom in America and they are finding out nothing could have been further from the truth. They cannot believe what a wonderful country we live in and how lucky they were to find out the truth. Me too! Happy Birthday, America!

Local chat groups are whining about all the fireworks going off. My reply was the “Bigger the Better”. I don’t buy or lite them off anymore, but do enjoy those that do the weeks before and after the 4th.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!

John

With the 250th Anniversary of our Great Country this coming weekend, I'm just wondering what everyone's plans are to Celebrate.

Here in Brunswick we have a great Fireworks display at our waterfront. I'm planning on taking the Grandkids along and stake out a good location to watch the festivities. I was thinking about taking Thor and setting chairs up on the bed..

Any special plans?

Craig, that's a great idea. I can do the same with my '38. Sanford has a fireworks display on the lakefront downtown.

I'm registered for the Scottsboro 4th of July Parade. So far, I seem to be the only antique vehicle in the parade ... Hmmmmm.

I'll be carrying extra jugs of coolant ... smile

None the less, I will be proud and happy to celebrate the 250th birthday of the greatest Nation God ever blessed.

The Brush Truck in the line up areas for the 2026 Scottsboro, AL 4th of July Parade. 1st time in public with the Dodgebolt (1976 Dodge D350/Pierce 4WD minipumper). Last in service as of last Tuesday with Hytop, AL VFD. Truck did great.

God bless America! Happy 4th all!

Nice! I've seen many trucks (new and old) driving around this morning with an American flag waving behind them. God Bless America!

I have this saying for my personal email account:

"Pickup trucks are like rolling status symbols in rural America." -- Patrick J. Buchanan

That sounds patriotic, ja?
