I got 25 thousands on the face and 100 thousands on the rim. Is that way out? I don't know what the tolerance is.

Depending on where you're measuring (didn't really understand your 100 thousandths on the rim), but if you meant the very edge, that's not as critical as the bead seating area.
[on edit] unless you have aluminum wheels - those should be tighter - 30 thousandths maximum.
