Can anyone recommend a Video, book, website or thread that can help me understand electronic ignition. what the different parts are and what they do? Just trying to build knowledge.

Rock - Here are a few info links to get you started, at least as it pertains to GM HEI systems which is what many Stovebolters are inclined to use in place of their original points systems.

You can find lots more through a simple web browser search. I used the search terms "An introduction to GM HEI distributors" and these are just the top 3 found amongst many. If you want to expand your "electronic ignition systems" information range, be more generic in your search terms.

Thanks, now I have better terms to use in my searches. I figuer this will be one of those master my understanding of a points system then build from there type of thing.
