Alright, it's that time again. The Fall Moultrie Swap Meet is 20 - 22 Nov, 2025. This is usually the larger of the two annual events, a lot more Vendors and Mom and Pop's sellers.
I try to make the first day of the event. A couple of friends and I take a car trailer, you know just in case. I always find that one thing I can't live without..

Craig - So how big of a shopping list can I send you - LOL!
I wouldn't do that to you brother, but boy does that look like a super fun and long swap meet weekend. Just way too far for me to get to.
Our recent fall mid-Missouri Swap Meet turned out to be a bust on the 2nd and last day as the rain sent sellers to scramble off and leave a mostly empty swap meet. Only took about an hour to slow-walk the event last Saturday. Friday was a good day by all accounts, but I couldn't attend.

I have a Dry-erase board in the shop, when something pops into my head I scribble it down. This year is a pretty long list as I'm gathering parts for Linda's '60 C10.
Several of the vendor will let you order parts in advance, and then they'll bring them to the event, saves shipping.

Craig, sounds like you’ll be there on Thursday but not Friday? We’re thinking of driving the 66 c10 up but Mom volunteers @ the local hospital on Thursday AM. Which means we’ll get there Thursday pm & check out the event on Friday & return home Sat. Our plans aren’t cast in concrete yet, just thinking at this point.

Rob, we usually try to make the first day, this year it might be Friday. I have Contractors working at the Guard Unit I work at, I may need to change my plans to accommodate them. I will keep you posted...

So we're about 2 weeks away from the Swap Meet. I'll be going on Friday the 21st. Gates open at 10:00 and close at 4:30.
Seems like my list always grows the last week or so. I plan on stocking up on Shop Supplies, Sand Paper, Scotch Bright Pads, Zip Ties, Shrink Wrap. There are always Vendors with a lot of Goodies.
Who knows I may even find another Craftsman Toolbox...

The wife & I are still planning on driving the C10 up on Thursday PM, not sure where we'll stay. We'll hang out all day Friday (or more likely till we get tired) then head home Sat. No plans to buy anything (unless maybe a smokin' hot deal on a Gear Vendors OD unit shows up) . I'll try to look you up Tuts & say hello. Thanks for the gate open & closing times, that helps.

Just a couple of days from the Swap Meet, it actually starts tomorrow (Thursday). I will be there Friday, looking forward to meeting Rob and his Wife.
I have the War Wagon prepped and ready. I copied down my list on my phone so as to try and remember everything. I really enjoy the hunt for parts and the chance to just plunder around.

Morning Y'all, I had a great day at the Swap Meet yesterday. It's about a 2.5 hour drive for me but definitely worth it. I had my Son Justin and a couple of good friends David and Adam as my entourage, took turns pulling the War Wagon.
I found an intake manifold for a 454 project I have going, great deal at $100.00. Picked up an intercooler for the 261 Turbo project, stole that at $50 00. I located a complete under bed spare tire mount for a 47-55.1 AD, these are a rare find, I bartered this down to $125.00. ( this goes to PaPa Joe)
Of course I left with a couple of Craftsman Tool Boxes. I gave $20.00 for a large red box with the tray. I haggled the price down to $60.00 on a multi drawer Machinest type box. This box is filled with vintage Machinest tools, some are worth more than what I paid for the Toolbox.
I was supposed to meetup with RLB (Rob) and his wife, unfortunatelyhe had an overheating issue with his truck and was able to make the Swat Meet. While walking around I receiveda text from .593ETow (Andy) he was at the Swap Meet as well. I never managed to meet up with Andy though.
I did buy me some wall art, a steel lazer cut silhouette of a 58-59 Task Force. The fall Swap Meet is always larger than the spring event, this was the largest I have seen yet. There where plenty of Mom and Pop's as well as Pro Vendors, and a huge crowd of folks looking for their treasures.

Craig - Did you happen to snag the side mount tire carrier too???
Would have loved to been there. I had to settle today for a wander through a local pick-n-pull. Was supposed to have a couple early S-10s with mechanical speedo T-5s, but no such luck.

Hey Tuts. We had a nice 6 & 1/2 hr drive up to beautiful uptown Thomasville Ga. But truck began overheating just as we arrived. Took most of next day to figure out problem & hitch rides to parts store. Turned out to be the fan relay was overheated but it was the fan relay sending unit that caused the fan to quit working. Made it home today safe & sound. Another 6 1/2 hr drive . I’m batting 0 for 2 , hopefully the 3rd time will be trouble free. All wasn’t lost though. We did a walking tour of downtown Thomasville & had a great dinner at a patio restaurant that would have cost 2 or 3 times as much in a more well known town. Thanks for posting pics so I could see what I missed.

Machinist box? Great score, do you know how to read those Starrett Mics? What else was in that box?

Don, actually yes. I worked in Tool and Die shop in High School. I ran a Punch Press and a Screw Machine. My Boss was an old Russian who came to the US during WWII, he was a great teacher.

I thought you would have that knowledge Tuts. But what else was in that box? Maybe a planer gage? Sign block? Or even a set of inside mics? I can go on but pictures would answer a lot of my questions.
Thanks Don

I go to both, going in April. I've ordered a complete floor pans for my '59 (Ernest), if I pick it up there I save all the shipping.
I posted a link to the Spring event under the "Events " thread at the top of the Southern Bolters Forum..
