I registered yesterday as well. Plan on bringing the 54' again. Looking forward to it! Is anyone planning on making the AD Thunder Tour and Virginia AD Nationals in August?....Maybe need to notify the ODSS group as well... Probably start another thread after we get past Smoky MTN Nationals.
I seen that Tom, hope Dave puts us in a good spot again this year. Craig, how about a 1950 Big Bolt that needs a new home? I hope to dig it out of the back corner of the barn next summer.

Would that big bolt work as a ramp truck? And carry 4500 lbs?

Maybe Tut's? He can sneak the Little Blue Truck into the SMN's on the back of an AD ramp truck. It would get a lot of attention.

I talked with Dave Hoque from the Smoky Mountain Nationals. He has an area set aside for us along side of a building they are calling the Depot. The Depot will also have various other activities, the Kiddie Train and an Adult Hay Ride. There should be a lot of traffic in that area. We will be setup just to the left of the Depot.
Dave is also making room for our Non-AD Trucks. We will have special passes for the gate that will allow us to park along side of our canopy.
I'm working out where Jerry's demonstration will be staged, should be right along side of us as well.
I will post updates as thing move along. The should be a great event this year.

No '46 this year, too much going on with me heading a committee to dedicate a bronze memorial bust of John Bet-a-Million Gates in the home town of St Charles, Illinois on May 17. About a $50k project that has been funded by donations. A project I started last June...long story.
I got a PM from Tim (TPR57C), he will joining us again this year.. Our Most Southern "Southern Bolter"

Just putting the feelers out anyone need a co pilot to show in towns End I’m going with Don king after show and have accommodation booked at highland manor in. I can fly to anywhere airport I am flying into Dallas and then can fly to most places
All sorted going to travel with Jay it will be a magic carpet ride to the smoky mountains then afterwards off with Don king for a while can’t wait to met the Stovebolt crew
Well Y'all we are little more than a week away from this years show. Lots of things going on in Townsend, the new location, the cruise routes, make sure you keep up with Dave on his link. We have some changes to Archie and Linda no longer have their RV, so the campgrounds is out for our Jamboree. We will work on a new location once we get there, we have an area at the Show grounds that may be available for us to use. Let me know if you have any ideas.
I have the shirts, they turned out nice. I'm working on the grab bags and things for our HQ area. It looks as if the only non AD truck going will be Alvin's '37 (Blue Thunder). Wayne will be meeting me at my house on Wednesday to leave from there. He and I will stay with Alvin in Boiling Springs and head off to Maggie Valley and the Buttered Biscuit Thursday morning. We'll meet the rest of the folks there along with Tim from Down Under, then off to Townsend.
We are once again presenting the "Best Stovebolt" Award at this years Show. I was thinking that maybe this year the criteria might be best "Old School" modified, something with true vintage parts. We'll talk about this when we meet up..
I was glad to hear Tim (TPR57C) is joining us, I also heard that Cosmo may make a guest appearance, we'll just have to wait and see. This should be a great event for us, bring a floppy hat and some walking shoes.. See you all soon.

I think we can make the Stovebolt HQ on the showgrounds work. Vicki and I will have that small charcoal grill we used last year along with charcoal, lighter fluid and a couple tables. We should be there by mid afternoon Thursday. Will be packing up and loading the truck this coming weekend.

We will be running parts of old route 66 from Lebanon to Springfield, then on down to Eureka Springs. After that, back to Springfield for the ATHS show Saturday. Sunday and Monday we see which way the wind blows and follow that back to Lake of the Ozarks Wednesday June 10th for a small Stovebolt fish fry/meet and greet on the lake. Don, sounds like a Great little road trip. On Eureka Springs, my experience has been if you are there early (before 10am) there's a good chance you can park on the street downtown. Any later and just hit the first parking lot.
It sounds like you guys, and gals, had a great time at SMN in Townsend again this year. I wish I could have made it. I really enjoyed last year. But, too many irons in the fire…
