After a year, I just this week was able to move into one of my out buildings. I think we'll be adding about 15 feet to it ...

Hmmmmmm- - - - -I don't think even a wash with really hot water would shrink it that much! LOL! Jerry

Nice thing about those types of structures is they are expandable. You should be able to easily find the materials to add two more arches and wall/roof panels to yours and tuck that butt end away safe and sound.

We used to call a flat front bus like that a cheese bus because it looks like a block of Velveeta.
What are you going to do with it?

Dan -- I'm currently waiting on an estimate to do just that from the guy who built it in the first place.
Otto -- Slowly it's turning into a camper. I've removed all the seats. Now I am pulling up the floor to treat rust spots and to remove all the wheelchair tie down tracks. There is some rusted out areas around the wheel wells and the wheel chair lift. The wheel wells won't be too hard to fix -- pop riveted sheet metal and a lot of flex seal around the rivets and to fill in the zillion bolt holes in the floor. I'm preparing to demount the wheel chair lift so I can fix whatever issues are under it, then remount it.
The new interior is going to be very open. All the RV's and campers, and even other skoolies, seem cramped to me and not very wheelchair friendly. Peggy is getting an National air ride seat to travel in. I might put in an additional passenger seat. Somewhere in there will be the stateroom at the back, a small head and a small galley area. Some storage. It will not be set up for off grid or any of that. It's going to be open and simple.

Looking at the console it appears to be a lot newer than I expected.

Do you plan to have an onboard AC generator? I have a couple of them from retired RVs that might be looking for a home. Jerry

Mark .... sigh .... This is *Alabama* not SoCal .... we have *standards!* Old billboards are good, but hard to come by out here in the boonies. All the weathered particle board has already been scarfed up. I was thinking more like busted pallets and stacked moldy round bales.
Jerry .... Hmmm, one of them might just have a new home waiting for it ...

John, this isn't related to the cheese bus but didn't you used to live on a Christmas tree farm in Maryland or someplace? Am I imagining this or confusing you with someone else on the site?

Otto, no, that was us. After Peggy's strokes in 2016/2017, it just became too much for me alone and we sold it. We've been here on the mountain for a year, now. Come visit some time. You're not that far away. We're almost ready to put the head back on the 261.
