Hi all, I'm here to introduce our '51 3/4 ton "Spud". We've had him for a little over a decade. He's mostly all mechanically restored now, with a 1960 full pressure 235 and a 12v conversion the only updates from stock. We even rebuilt the huck brakes! (Not sure that was the best move, but oh well smile

In the near future I hope to put in a T5 or do the R&P swap on the rear end, if we can find a donor.

We daily drive him as a farm truck for our little veggie and canned goods business on the Olympic Peninsula.

Welcome to the site Spud! Sounds like you find a lot of Bolters with similar interests. A fun thread, Who uses their truck as a truck, would probably love to hear from you.

We have a 1949 Chevy 3800 one-ton as you can see in our signature line. Charlie is the website icon. grin

Tell us more! We are listening. (And more pictures please. Never too many!)

Spud has an Irish twin on this site.

Huck brakes work just as good as Bendix brakes when properly repaired and adjusted.

Very nice! Have fun splitting those big rounds. Nice to see a vintage truck still working.
