Hey Guys,
I'm working on a 1966 C10 suburban with seemingly original rims. They are 16" diameter steelies. The current tires have tubes, do you think these rims are ok to use with tubeless radial tires? Would the bead fit better on newer rims?

Your rims were designed for use with tubeless tires. There's no reason to use tubes even if you install bias ply tires instead of radials.

Tubeless tires became standard on American vehicles in the mid1950s.
