tlietha - Your 1954 235 can use an oil pan from Chevy 1953 Passenger cars with Powerglide (automatic) transmission 235's, ALL 1954 235's (both truck and passenger car regardless of transmission), and 1955 1st Series Commercial and Utility truck 235 engines as they all use the same pan (GM# 3701602). See the screenshot below from a 1962 Chevy Master Parts Book.

Here's an ebay offering for a 1953-55 235 pan that needs repair for a pretty high asking price. The main reason I posted this is so you can use the good pictures to help when searching for the correct replacement pan.

In reading your post about the damage to your oil pan HERE, I'm wondering how much your pan is damaged/dented???

It may be that your dented pan is easier to repair than one of the many currently offered "used" and "needing repairs" pans I saw in my web search.

Best of luck with your search! thumbs_up
