For Sale...the culmination of over 4+ years of work...the FM, MP3, Bluetooth "radio" for AD trucks 47 through 53. You will get a primed fiberglass or molded epoxy dash plate and 2 fiberglass or molded epoxy retaining nuts, washers, bolts, the player module and the 2 screws needed to mount it, all wiring and 2 little black plastic screw covers. You may need to sand the primer before paining or you may want to re-prime it. This has been designed to be as close to plug and play as possible. It will accept a normal automotive antenna plug. You will also receive a remote control device which will let you access some things not controlled by the buttons on the front panel (like sound equalizer). There are some 12v only versions (maybe 3 to 5 of them left) but the remainder will play on 6v, 8v or 12v and at any voltage input will perform all functions. They're amplified...a few were 20 watt per channel and the rest were 25 watt per channel. The particulars:
1. This module is designed to recognize up to a 32gb USB stick or Micro SD memory card. It can play MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC and APE lossless format files. Also please note: some of these included a voice recorder. You must have a USB or TF (Micro SDHC) card inserted to use this. Also it has memory so if you turn it off it returns to the same place when you resume.
2. FM stations from 87.5mhz through 108mhz are recognized
3. Bluetooth version 5.0 is present and you can listen to podcasts or other bluetooth transmitted items and you can answer phone calls if your phone is paired with the device and present with you in your vehicle.

This has been discussed in the Radio Bench section at length but if you have any questions at all, please send me a PM or an email (jon_goodman@yahoo.com)

Also, please note: the face plate has been amended to show either CHEVROLET or GMC in the typical script, so I'll need to know which truck you have. (images below)

The price for the radio and everything mentioned above is $40 plus shipping.

If you already have speakers, you probably can use them. However if not and if you need speakers, for another $40 plus shipping you can get the speaker panel, all mounting hardware including screws and nuts and 2 high quality German made 4 inch Visaton speakers plus wiring. This mounting scheme has been designed to be compatible with the AD dash and trim pieces. You can see below. There will also be some foam attached on the bottom edge and the top piece...for anti-rattle.

As with the radio, if any questions please contact me. Shipping so far has been done using medium size USPS Priority mail boxes or small USPS Priority mail boxes (if radio only) at the most discounted USPS rates I can get and if I can improve on the cost I will do so.

Jon, I'm guessing the address I've got on file for ya from the capacitor purchase is good? If so, a check is on the way for a speaker/radio package for the '51, 6 volt, Chevrolet in my tag line. I'm pondering a second unit for the '64 CJ5, but not today.

Thanks for all you do for the community!

Ronnie

Hi Ronnie,
Thanks! Yes, the address is still fine. Did the '64 CJ5 have a cutout for a radio? Sorry but I don't recall one being there.

No cutout, but hopefully I can fab something up suitable for a ratty old Jeep. I obviously won't need the fascia trim plate for the Jeep. That's a project I'll venture into when I have both hands available. If you'd PM the shipping cost to Arkansas 71603 we'll start the process for the Green truck.
