........Something I never adjust. Suddenly I notice the free travel seems shorter than what I've been use to. Got out my manuals and just want to make sure I am understanding this correctly. It says......
...."Loosen the lock nut "A" on the clutch release rod and back off the adjusting nut "B" to increase the pedal free travel or tighten nut "B" to decrease the pedal free travel. When it says to back off nut "B", does that mean to rotate the nut rearward, as if you were removing it off the release rod? Pushing against the clutch fork end?
This is what I get for having a truck running so well for such a very way too long of time.

Or moving nut B toward the front of the truck would increase pedal travel. The two nuts sandwich the pedal arm, which isn't threaded.

Thanks all for the advice. Moved B & A forward to get a 1" free play. I then took the truck out for a drive and noticed when I got home that there was zero free play movement. Is this normal when everything gets warmed up? I will check it out tomorrow morning.

It’s normal for free play to decrease when clutch is warmed up, but I’ve seen anything loose an inch. After I adjust the clutch, I screw the locknut finger tight, then depress clutch pedal fully five times, then readjust if needed. The free play spec is on a cold clutch, so somewhat less on a hot clutch is correct.
