I'm not sure if what Bolter "jimgmc" posted above made sense or not, so to expand on his words a bit and hopefully clear the confusion, the 1937 GMC 1.5 ton (and 2 ton) trucks were identified as model T16. 1937 GMC models T14 (1/2 ton), T15 (3/4 and 1 ton) and T16 (1-1/2 and 2 ton) trucks all shared the same radiator shell and grill assemblies/components as well as hood assemblies and components.*
So I think you can safely say the T16 1-1/2 ton GMC grill will fit your T14.

I was wondering if you could post pictures of the cover and first page of the 1937 GMC parts list. My original 1937 GMC Parts & Price List does not list the T15. The T15 first came out in 1930 as a ¾ ton and discontinued after 1933. Returned in 1938 as a 1 ton along with the T145 ¾ ton and T155 1 ¼ ton.
jimgmc - Here's pictures of the resource book I have and provided info from. I think the confusion is my fault, sorry! Because this is a GM of Canada GMC Parts Book, and their model numbers apparently vary from the US available model numbers for 1937.
The info on the Data Sheet page indicates the different model series and sub-models for the covered Canadian trucks. These aren't the only Canadian GMC models as I have a different 1937 book for T-16H - F16H trucks. As I haven't been able to find a corresponding original 1937 US GMC model resource book, the only one I found that seems to provide info for 1936-38 is this Reprinted 1936-38 GMC Book of Parts. I haven't purchased one, yet, but am inclined to do so to have another resource to correspond and compare with my GMC of Canada Pars Lists (I currently have 5 different books from 1935-38).
I probably muddied the waters more than cleared them up. SORRY!!! Just trying to share information in the hopes it will help FAST55 get the answers needed to keep his project going.
All this being said, does your 1937 information indicate these trucks used different grill's and associated parts?
