I have been restoring a 55.1 3600. My progress has gotten me to the door glass. When I roll the window down it stops moving half way down. Looking down inside the door I see the glass channel is comes in contact with the vent post. I centered the channel on the glass. I am going to remove the glass today and move the channel away from the post. Knowing I have 3/8" to play with. But before I do all of this I wander if the glass will make contact with the post and stop the glass from freely move down.

1955.1 3600 5 window 4 speed all original except the 410 gears.

87GN - Moved your thread to the Doors sub-forum in Paint and Body Shop as that's the best place for your topic. Others should be along soon to offer some help and insight. wink

I fixed the glass from binding. I moved the drivers door glass channel 1/8" toward the latch side. Also, removed some excess felt channel on the vent post down at the binding location. The location was notable do to the scratches on the post.
