Made it to beautiful uptown Brunswick Ga. C10 did good on its first long haul day. 258 mi, no interstate except thru Jacksonville Fl. Good thing it’s got that 21 gal Blazer tank, the BBC is thirsty. 12 mpg, but it’s 87 Oct , so that helps. Vintage Air is worth it’s weight in gold.

All loaded and ready to head out tomorrow morning. Spend the night in Paducah Ky. Then a long drive to Townsend. Not looking forward to Nashville though.

Anybody hear anything about Tim making it in and hooking up with Jay? Guess I had better call Tim first thing tomorrow morning.

Well, RLB & wife are heading home. After arriving at Atlanta yesterday, I was looking under the hood & saw oil all over the front cross member & elsewhere. Thought I had a blown timing cover seal . This AM I was able to get under truck with a light & saw that balancer, timing cover& front of pan were dry. Turns out the PS pump seal is leaking pretty good. It’s the original pump that came with the donor engine. We made the decision to head home, hopefully making it there before seal completely fails. Truck has been doing great otherwise (Did I mention how much we like Vintage Air? ). We were looking forward to matching names & faces with online names but it is what it is.

Well DANG, I wish things had worked out, both coming and going...I am planning something for this fall in the Brunswick area...
I really wanted to see how your AC install looked . I'm definitely adding AC to our '60 project.
