Anyone use 1 inch thick wood for the bed wood ? Usually rough cut lumber is 1 inch thick and was wondering if it is necessary to have it planed down to 3/4 inch thick .

I did. You`ll need slightly longer bed bolts. With the washer and lock washer. Plus I did
not recess for the strip. It knife bladed in there. It ran just higher than the back.

Thank you, that is good information to know. May save a few dollars not having to plane the boards down.
