Anyone have a pic or diagram of how the antenna gets into the cab? Had to butcher two antennas together to get things working correctly and straight. Also had to make the hole in the cowell wayyyyy bigger.

Now I need to get it into the cab. There is a rubber boot, but nowhere is there a hole where the boot reaches to?

Factory AM antenna comes from the antenna being mounted on the passenger side cowl piece. One of the aftermarket places sells a template. Although, i used it and it's a little off. Best to use or find an original and make you own template. The antenna wire goes and enters the cab near a body seam under the side cowl which is about a nickel/quarter size and this should have a grommet of appropriate size. Maybe look on the inside of the truck under the dash top? Possibly it was repaired or filled in on the outside by a previous owner.

Very strange. There was an an antenna on the cowel, but it didn't go anywhere I remember. There was what I thought was a cb antenna center top, but after talking to daughter of original owner he had a radio mounted where I thought the CB was and the antenna out the top was for it.

Maybe the grandson attempted a radio install?

That would mean no factory hole.

Well, I simply drilled a hole on a weld seam. Had to reverse the grommet for some reason, but it is in the cab and I am receiving sound waves!!!
