April 24, 2021. I have not done much of anything with the 'burb in almost a month.
I did find another transmission in the wrecking yard. I wasn't going to take it until I realized that there were only 2 bolts holding it in, that and the transmission cover bolts. My handy impact wrench made short work of them.

May 20, 2021. Oh my how time flies.
I have not been doing much on the old truck lately. The Blazer, The Coupe, The yard and The Wife all have conflicting demands.
I did manage to clear away all the stuff that was blocking me from leaving the garage. I pulled the Blazer seats out and put in the "new" 2004 electrified driver seat.
I also pulled the carpet out to prep for the transmission exchange.
I bit the bullet and ordered a transmission jack to that I don't have to balance the tranny's on a regular jack.

I feel your pain brother, I have a growing list of projects and the 59' is always at the bottom.

June 24, 2021. Sadly no. I've been spending too much time on my studies. I do look at it once in a while tho.

Sept 5, 2021. I fired the old boy up, moved it out of the garage and cleaned up around its space. The Blazer is getting put back together this week, so I "should" be able to get something done soon. Speaking of the Blazer, that thread seems to have disappeared; prolly to inactivity.

Last Entry:

After the BRB departed, I spent a bit of time on the 'Burb, hoping to be able to move it to California with me. Reality struck. I would not attempt to drive it to Cali. And I would have had to rent a large trailer or have it shipped. I listed it for sale, got a few nibbles. I was getting close to packing up to head out to my new "old" job.
A fellow from Iowa called and asked if it was still for sale... well yes. He showed up, drove it around and offered me half of what I had in to it. Sold.
He left me with a small deposit and returned the next day with a Beautiful Blazer strapped to a huge trailer. The trailer was not huge enough for normal folks. But we were not normal. We cobbled a bunch of planks together and he drove the Blazer up on to the front of the trailer. I would not have even attempted that!! Both trucks did fit (barely) on the trailer. We had to remove the ramps though.

He sent me a note a few days later saying that they got home easily. He sent me another note later in the winter, more than mildly upset that I didn't tell him there was no antifreeze in the engine. He found the freeze plugs on the floor! Apparently, there was no damage (other than the freeze plugs popping out). I hadn't given it a second thought, since my garage was heated! oops.

I sent a bunch of the re-pop parts with the 'Burb, along with the spare trans and whatever else I could find. Of course, I found more stuff later and mailed that to him.

He sold it to another guy around Iowa after a while.
