I've finally got the rusted out cab portions replaced, new corners, rebuilt the support mounts that had broken through the floors, stripped everything out of the cab inside and out. I built this sturdy cab stand that I can pick up the cab to work on the bottom side easier and now I can just take it outside to strip it down to bare metal, then just bring it back in to fix a couple dings and do some body filler work. Then back out of the shop to prime and eventually paint.
Does anyone know if those molded firewall pads and covers you can get for pickups of this vintage will fit in the COE? I know there is a lot of specialized parts for these, I can buy the step covers and possibly the rubber fender cover piece, but it's very expensive. I'm building the lower driver side step because it's missing but it should look good when finished.
I put a new master cylinder in and new wheel cylinder and seals, hoses, shoes and drums look good yet.
Waiting for my 1961 235 head to get back from machine shop, then the manifold will be the only thing holding me from getting it running, I hope!

Nice work, Fran. thumbs_up

Since your post is mainly about cab corners, etc. It belongs over in Paint and Body rather than Interiors.

I'll move it over there.

Yes, the firewall pads for standard cabs will fit your COE.

Ok, that's good to know because I want it to look finished there. My old one was partially missing anyway. Thanks
