I converted my torque tube driveline to an open driveline with an SM420 trans. My brake and clutch pedal mount bracket used to mount to the case of the old trans as well as to the bell housing. Has anyone else dealt with this issue? How did you solve this problem?

Thanks!

You can either fabricate a separate bracket or modify a 48-53 bellhousing. I have the latter. There's a guy somewhere in the lower 48 that does this specifically maybe in Washington or Oregon. He has a jig built to braze or weld the bosses on in the correct location.

Thanks Wheelie! That’s a great thread and I think it’s going to be exactly what I need. I really appreciate it.

Thanks Daniel! I wish I’d posted about this when I was rebuilding the SM420. I probably would have looked the guy up and sent the case to him. I’m sure it would have made things a lot easier.

To clarify, he modifies the bellhousing. Finally found the photos. Further clarification, I don't know that this was done by him, I posted that I needed this part and found someone with it. I was looking for one that wasn't modified to send it to him and someone already had a modified one.
