I've got one of the above mentioned duster that after several years use has stopped picking up dust and only pushes it around. I tried washing it and that did get out a lot of dirt but it still won't pick up the dust. Is there any thing I can treat it with that will bring it back to life?

The manufacturer expects you to buy a new one every few years. The mop part cannot be separated from the handle.

Yes, it can be separated. At least mine can. Untie the strings across the top and pull the mop part over the end of the handle and slide it out. Wash, dry and return it to the handle.

Thanks Jimmy's I'll give Endust at try.

Did you hand wash in Woolite? I have one, but I've never wash it yet. I still have the instructions with mine. (See pic.)

Didn't use Woolite, just some detergent. Otherwise I did followed the instructions. But it sure washed out a lot of dirt.

You're right. The model you show appears it can't be removed but the new one I just bought is the same as my old one except with a wood handle.

Last year. found DW using it clean her greenhouse. I informed her that it was not a bench brush. After a very short discussion ending when I was told "not to take that tone", we discovered that the handle and mop could not be separated. It's now stored in the truck.
