I'm trying to get things lined up now for this replacement 1960 235 motor that I plan on using in the 48 COE. You guys told me I'd need an adapter for the old style water pump to be used on this newer engine. Is there any preferred place to buy those or just go online and search. Also, then I will probably need to use my old crankshaft pulley with the heavy wheel to match the pump wider pulley, right? I'll probably have to get a new rebuild water pump too unless they can be rebuilt, I don't see any kits available. My old one I'm sure will leak after sitting for decades.
Send your water pump to Then and Now rebuilders. Contact "Pre 68 Dave" on this website for the adapter plate. He's been making and selling them for quite a while, and they work very well. Jerry

Yes, and I responded to it. Look for a flashing "envelope" icon at the top of each forum page. I can resend it if necessary. Jerry
