Hey Koolkar, have you seen that 5/8 socket wrench that I dropped in here last week? And what happened to John's welder? I need to borrow it.-LOL Glad to have someone "responsible"(?) in charge of the tools. OH- and how is the "tin-foil beanie" sales coming?

I was funnin' you some Koolkar but I do have a set of what "I" call socket wrenches- a wrench on one end (open end) and the same size socket on the other. I have lost part of the set over the years and would like to find another set. Handy devils, they are.

Either of you yayhoos know what a "Kentucky Socket Set" is?

ky socket set? how about pipe wrench,cresent wrench and pliers? as far as socket type wrenches--i mean the ones with a socket mounted to an end wrench--s-k. i got a couple myself. saw something better--a endwrench with a ratchet socket built in on the box end. (mac) but craftsman make 'em too. umm---did i just do my first official duty? :confused:

Let's see- I walk all the way over to your house,- Then listen to you bellyaching and griping for a few hours- pack that pretty new welder back home on my back- weld, whatever dang thing I wanted to weld so darn bad- then pack that ugly piece of rock, that is called a welder, back to your place- listen to you rag on, for a day and a half, while I catch my breath- then stagger back to my run down shack of a place, because I haven't been home in so long, and find my truck is just a very large pile of rust.
Ya know, On second thought I think I'll just use some "baling wire and JB Weld". But, thanks for the offer of the loan.

Is that one of those "ONE SIZE FITS ALL SOCKETS",,,,the kind you install with a 5lb hammer!!!

You can borrow my METRIC crescent wrench if you have the need!

Hey John, I need the welder for a ..... while just until I get my uh.......... hood welded on a styled A John Deere and then I should.........

That John is a good guy, letting my borrow his Miller 251 Mig welder, said to keep it as long as I need it......

If things go right I might get my first tractor done this weekend so I can haul it to the painter's shop. Then I can finish the 50 JD major overhaul. I'd like to take some time to get started on the 51, but I think I will get another tractor in--the tractors pay$$$$--the 51 does not.

If you see a 1/2" Mac combo wrench laying around, it is mine, OK.

Kentucky socket set? Is it like an Arkansas socket set that has a round hole in one end and a knurled worm gear on the other? Carl, be sure to put that welder back when you're through (next year). If you don't we'll have to post an ad here so John can buy a new one. I heard you have to do 50 Marine pushups to borrow the plasma cutter. Guess I'll have to buy my own, cuz I'm a wimp.

it's better to do 50 retired marine pushups---48 drinks of beer---2 pieces of pizza. ya know--i lost a great tool---german pipe wrench, self adjusting spring loaded wrench called an "einhander"---man was that thing handy. oh well-back to my "excersize" bbbeeeeeellllllccccchhh---aw man-dropped a peperoni on the floor!!! i would pick it up---naw--too much work
