I put a 235 engine in my 53 project. The engine code says that it came out of a 1962 truck. Would that engine have come with solid or hydraulic lifters?

Mike, It would be mechanical lifters if the 235 is in fact out of a truck. Provide some casting and serial numbers for us to help confirm if you aren't sure.
