1950 4400 firetruck.
looks like someone went to far with it and broke the roll pin going thru the diecast and stem.
correctly clocked stem and carefully drilled diecast, stem and crazy glued full shank of bit in.
returns like new again.

What diameter bit? I think that's the problem with my droopy handle that won't open the door.

1/8th.
i was surprised the shaft wouldn't come out the handle no matter what i did.
i was gonna jb weld it in iffen it came out.
someone was in it before and messed with the half ball area of the handle trying to get a roll pin installed. i'm not sure how the stem was held in the handle from the factory.
hope it works for u.

I have also had trouble posting, fatal error also, then if I hit "post reply" it says I've already posted.

There's a glitch in the software generating that error, but your post typically does get posted. The glitch is known by the software guys and will be corrected eventually. You can ignore the error code and go back to the forum home page by clicking on the URL display a the top of the page (should say "https://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php"), and then use the "active threads" selection to see if your post is at the top of the list.

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.
