I've been looking on line for the rubber hood corners but nothing looks like the holes on the hood. it has 2 holes on all 4 corners where the split rivets go . did it have rubber corners or just metal. thanks for any info.

The 1937 GMC had rubber hood bumpers on all 4 corners. They were also used on the larger 1936 GMC, T-18 and larger.

robert b, Your question better fits into the Paint and Body Shop forum, so I moved it there for further conversation and help. Perhaps a fellow Bolter can share pictures of what the "rubber hood bumpers" mentioned by "dunfire" look like to provide more details on the subject?

I've looked online and only found split rivet for a one hole. on the hood it has two-holes for the split rivets. all four corners for the rubber bumpers. did someone somehow change it?

robert b, Can you take/post a picture of the underhood bumper holes you are describing? It might help folks see what you are asking about. wink

There are 2 holes in the hood corners of the 1938 GMC that I have.
