Hello everyone. I’m just joining from Fredericksburg VA with my 1951 Fleetline I recently purchased with the original 235 engine and powerglide transmission. I’m looking forward to learning what I can here about this old stovebolt and keeping her on the road for as long as possible.

Howdy Capn Silver, and welcome to our site!

We're glad to have you join us and we'll help you as much as we can (I've seen your engine questions and Jerry is on it!). Just be advised that we are a truck site. Any car-specific questions you might have will need to go in our "Greasy Spoon" forum. You'll get good help as we have a lot of knowledgeable users here with a wealth of experience that they're willing to share.

Thanks and again, Welcome!

John

Thank you. I wasn’t sure how much flexibility there was on that topic, but I appreciate all the help with my engine!

We're absolutely inflexible here. In fact, we've already dispatched the infamous Old Dominion Stovebolt Society Black Ops team to ... well, you know ... do what sneaky snake eaters do ... Anyway, they're having a hard time tracking you down so it would make things easier all the way around if you would just come to Winchester in 2 weeks for Tristate and introduce yourself there. If you don't mind.

smile

Haha, that sounds like a plan. I’m not to far from Winchester, so I definitely want to make it!

Welcome to the 'bolt... I had a sneaking suspicion that your vic was not what is normally here.

The electric forum will answer your questions, just keep them generic.

Another quality post.

We missed you at Winchester. We'll just have to catch up with you later!
