Hey got this yesterday off on of them tool trucks, the claw end will grab bolts and nuts up to 6/19, and the adjustable end will open up to 1-1/4 inches.

It's a Blue Point, made in Sweden, it's 8 inches long. Works great too.

Do they have a metric version?(just kiddin )

This is the "metric version" see that 200 mm on the handle.

I have used it a few time on the buses at work and it is great, good tool for the road call box. It grips really well and with the adjustor end going to 1-1/4, I can even use it to tighen down PP1 valve nuts.

I have a 10 inch adjustable wrend and it only opens to 1".

Which tool truck has them?

Blue Point is the low end tools sold off Snap-on trucks, they also put a lot of new tools out with the Blue point name as a test before the swicth over to the Snap-on name. If it sells good and works with out to many complanits, then the will start stamping them out as Snap-on. Also the price jumps when the put on the snap-on name.

They are also called "Shark Wrenches". I have seen them used backstage. A Swedish foreign student working at the local college theater had the first one I saw -- she was cute but I didn't understand a word she said. Then last spring, one of the roadguys on "Phantom" had one and knew the whole story on them. He was in England on a rock'n'roll tour and got one from the crew there. They used them for setting up scaffolding, the shark jaw could get a grip on the 2" wingnuts on cheesborough connectors [especially if you set the hole on the 3/8" allthread and spin the 'wing' from the inside], and the spanner head was good on setting lights. I forgot the Swedish manufacturer's name. I want one too.

Looks like a TV junk tool to me. I won't be looking for one. Most of that stuff doesn't work well, and messes up more stuff than fixing it. Even Craftsman is pushing junk tools now that look good for BOB Villa, but work like S*** for me! :p :p :mad:
