"On Saturday July 20, there will be a huge truck show only 2 or 3 miles from our Wrenchfest location. It will be the 9th annual Bill Harter truck and tractor show and it has gotten bigger every year. It is mostly big rigs, but they have every size truck and a lot of cool equipment as well. They will also be selling food and they always have a ton of give-aways."

This show will still be going on, but there will be no event at the NAPCO Rescue Ranch. Anyone wanting to attend and needing a place to camp/stay the night before is welcome to contact me.
It ended up being an incredible show that I think will soon rival the Tri-State show in Winchester. There were 190 registered trucks there and countless unregistered vehicles. I took both of my “Gunny Trucks” and ended winning 1st place in the Ram Pickup division with R. Lee Ermey’s 1985 Dodge D-350. There were probably 15-20 Dodge Ram trucks there, but mostly Cummins trucks. My grandsons had a great time. It would be cool if this show became an annual event for the ODSS crew.

George, I agree, this looks likes another "WInchester" type venue we need to add to the calendar. I saw a whole bunch of pictures from the show on FB and was surprised at the number of trucks there. Congrats on the prize!

Much thanks Cosmopolitan, Peggy and Billy-Bill. It was a great show, but wasn’t the same without ODSS members on hand. The show is obviously on my home turf and I knew a lot of people, but it’s still not the same. The giveaways were incredible and there was no drawing for them. Once you paid your $15, you went to a table and picked out what you wanted. I got a nice 1/4” socket/ratchet set and a Milwaukee screwdriver with bits. The food is cooked on site by the Fulks Run Ruritan’s and they have both breakfast and lunch. There were also a bunch of vendors selling mostly big-rig related gear. Maybe next year we can make a weekend out of it.
I agree. It'll make a good ODSS regular event. Glomming on a current thing is the smart way to get an "annual" event for us going.
