First, shout-out to Jim Carter Truck Parts in Independence, MO, for the quick turnaround on the windshield regulator rebuild for my 1946 Chevy half-ton.
Now, a puzzle: I found the bracket that attaches it to the windshield in a box of spare parts, but there are no threads in the windshield frame holes to screw into.
Am I missing threaded inserts? It doesn't look like I can run a bolt through to the front.
Thanks in advance!

DJ - As most window and windshield topics are found in the Interiors forum, I’ve moved your post to that forum. Other ‘Bolters should be along soon to help with answering your question.

I have the same issue, if I get that far. I don’t think the windshield on the 41 is original; it has an aluminum frame. I picked up the regulator, hinges, crank, and everything to make it operational.
I guess it depends on what kind of truck you want. I do believe your best option to drill holes thru and use nice hardware to make it work. But that’s just me.

DJ and VEW - If I'm thinking correctly, there is supposed to be upper and lower frame connectors that join the 2 halves of the windshield frame together to also support that regulator installation. They connectors both have 4 threaded holes to accept the screws to hold the frame sections together along with the inside division bar reinforcements. The lower one also uses the 2 inner holes of the connector to mount the regulator bracket on top of the lower reinforcement to the frame (see screen grab web pics I found showing those details). Jim Carter offers those connectors as a set under Part# WI141. The original frame connectors holes are probably rusted or stripped out so attaching anything there will be problematic.
The screen grabs were taken from this detailed Motor Trend article. The article may help you in your windshield work too.
