OK boys and girls what’s your opinion on who sells the best & most complete power steering kit for a 1/2 ton AD Chevy truck.
Wanting to add power steering to my panel truck. It’s running a straight axle with a 250 Chevy six cylinder. I have all the brackets for the power steering pump, just need to know which is the best kit to get. .... joe

I'd advise against getting one with a steering arm as shown below. I bought this one for my '57 GMC (R.I.P.) from Brother's back in 2006, but I've seen this part used in other kits that use a GM 800 series power steering box mounted on the outside of the frame in front of the front axle. Plus, the kit bump steered bad. Had a too short drag link.

On my 53 3100 I'm running stock box and column with EPAS Performance electric P/S and a Howe 1:1.5 steering quickener. I'm running a RenCool electric A/C compressor with remote condenser and Spal fan. I'm running an Old Air inside kit.

Old enough to know better, too young to resist.
