Did the 1954 3600 have a heater control valve? If so, how was the heat controlled from inside of the cab?


1955.1 3600 5 window 4 speed all original except the 410 gears.

There were a few heaters that were used but the recirculating and fresh air heater used a control valve ,ranco valve it was called.

Here is some pictures off the web ,the valves are hard to find but can be rebuilt there are other universal valves that may work .you would also need the control rod and knob.

They can be rebuilt as long as the expansion bulb is still intact and not damaged. Mine sadly was not and am currently developing a work-around. Will look mostly stock.

I bought a valve for my 47 3600 from Joe Hudacek. He took mine to rebuild. Great guy to work with. He should have what you need.

If you are looking for a heater there is one on Facebook market place for 90. It has the valve and knob as well but the capillary tube looks cut .
