The engine is on a stand on a trailer, and eventually I would like for it to be running and painted to take to shows.

It's still possible I can get it running for that purpose, but if it were to go in a vehicle it will need to be bored and a new set of pistons.

So far I have not found a set of pistons. I have found several different half sets (for a 351 v6) but not yet have I found two half sets by he same manufacturer or same oversize. As it is not going in a vehicle it's not worth the several thousand it would cost for new pistons and a proper rebuild.

I am looking at a second engine, just a short block, that may be used to get mine running, but no luck working out a deal yet.

I was going to rebuild my 379-V6 I got told if it's still running Good leave it alone as there ain't any new part's for a major over hual on any of them V-6's 305 - 478cid i got told this by Midwest engine exchange, weaver, napa, bumper to bumper' car quest, autozone' and check automotive. . .Eggimen truck and equipment said send us an old piston we may be able to custom make you a set for $250 a piston. . .thats $1,500 in piston's alone. . .

I basicly rebuilt the whole front end and brake's in the spring a going to get a rust free body for it I would like to have rebuilt the motor But i'm go to just hope it last's. . .Tho NOT THE WAY! i like doing it. . .
if i'm going to do it a do it all. . .

So you may have too do some digging and alot of running to get it going but i'm sure it'll be worth it in the end, will it run as it is ?

i saw the heap you cut it out of. . .that look's about as healthy as mine it might sadly have been more solid. . . L  L ! if you ever want a chassie to put your V-12 into i got a truck it might fit in i got photo's post in the greasy spoon check it out. . .
