Spring has come to STOVEBOLT LAND!

For us, that doesn't necessarily mean flowers, landscaping and grass. It means CRUISE-INS, SWAP MEETS, STOVEBOLT GATHERINGS! And being able to work like gangbusters on the old 'Bolt!

It also means SHOW TIME! Events, large and small, are kicking off the new show season. Some are in the planning stages for the bigger gatherings. Be sure to check in at a Side Lot near you, or even just one you are interested in.

See details of the photo in Gordon's post.

For other old truck/car hobby events, Hemmings Motor News has a good on-line calendar for events from here to there. With that calendar, you can search and sort by location and date. Even chose the venue: auction, swap meet, tours, cruise, cruise-ins, and many others. If you find an event of interest, and want to meet other 'Bolters there, post it in a nearby Side Lot and see what kind of interest you can generate. thumbs_up

One last pitch ... don't forget to take your camera with you and come back and share with us. pix

That picture was taken March 17, 2007 at Victoria YYJ. Today's weather was similar to what you see in the photo. The '63 at the far end belonged to stovebolt member Freedo. The '52 at the near end belonged to stovebolt member BC52 - now passed away. The dark blue '49 belonged to stovebolt member Sedgewick. Can't ID the other 3 trucks but I think one of them belonged to stovebolt member Niagara.

Thanks Gord for the details on that photo. I'll add it to that post. We do have Boyd "BC52" Wylie listed in the Passing Lane, with some nice photos of his truck provided by Paul "Super55" Stanley.

Do you mean Spring like this?? brrrrr Woke up to see 1-1/2 inches of that white stuff and more coming down.

Obviously, not much being done on the Stovebolt project, except small stuff in the garage that has heat. thumbs_up

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.
